ASA 101 Basic Sailing teaches you how to sail using a New 19 foot West Wight Potter keel boat manufactured by International Marine, an entry level pocket cruising sailboat. At only 19 feet this sail boat is an excellent choice for learning to sail, she is very stable, safe and easy to operate. In this class we will learn how to make the boat go, and how to make it stop; with other various sailing exercises to cement those skills. Mostly Sailing, some class and minor outboard motor instruction. There are no prerequisites for this class and it will give you the knowledge needed to skipper a sloop-rigged keelboat of approximately 20 to 27 feet in length by day, in light to moderate winds and water conditions. This is a 4 day course with an added extra day of free sail with a skipper onboard to be scheduled after completion of class. No more than 3 students per class. $795 per person.
ASA 103 Basic Cruising moves up to a 30 foot Hunter inboard powered sail boat, and we learn close quarter maneuvering under power, plus reefing, anchoring, and other cruising skills. LOTS of docking in this course. Prerequisite is ASA 101. 3 day course, no more than 4 students per class. $845 per person.
ASA 104 Intermediate Cruising is where we get into boat systems; engine, electrical, and plumbing stuff, plus navigation. We take a multi-day trip navigating as we go spending two nights on the boat. This course gives you the BareBoat Charter certificate which is recognized by most charter companies. Prerequisite is ASA 101 and 103. This course is 3 days with a 1 night cruise. No more than 4 students per class. $1295 per person, $2095 for 2.

Learn how to know where you are and how to arrive safely using only traditional methods (No GPS!). Sailing and charting experience required. No more than 6 students. $495 per person.
